Maria Rivera, EI, is a consultant and project manager who joined the firm in 2015. Included in her responsibilities are inspections and analysis of glazing and waterproofing systems, field testing of stucco and concrete for quality compliance, forensic analysis with repair protocols, and the preparation of reports. Her experience includes both residential and commercial projects of new construction and existing buildings. She has provided forensic and technical analysis, supervision of field procedures, and litigation support for a wide range of projects including existing building defects and catastrophe claims investigations.

Maria has over 7 years of experience in the construction industry, holding a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering Management from an ABET-accredited university. Specifically, she has experience in hurricane wind damage and construction safety. She has extensively performed investigative water-infiltration testing in accordance with applicable ASTM standards. Maria also supervised the logistics and deliverables of the firm’s first-party insurance claims projects including drafting document deliverables for final review and managing budgets and schedules. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
